[PTab=Tab2]APPEARANCE - MISSY
PERSONALITY - The first thing anyone notices about Batwing is that she talks. A lot. She tends to fill awkward silence or tense moments with her voice, either out of obliviousness or nerves. She's highly cheerful and optimistic, and likes to keep things on the bright side of life - though that doesn't mean she doesn't have a capacity for seriousness. Batwing isn't much for opening up and it often takes a deep-seated relationship with another cat for her to tell them about her past - most of the time she comes off as whimsical, care-free, and often downright wild. There's a deeper side to her personality that is very rarely shown, as she often tries to keep the mood light, and believes that weighing down other cats with her concerns or tragedies is unacceptable. If she were ever to feel lost or hurt, she would hide it behind a smile.
Gung-ho for just about anything, Batwing hates to be held back or follow the rules, and has a very rebellious nature. She tends to get in trouble, a lot, for rule-breaking and for going against direct orders. Despite being an older warrior, she can often times come off as a fresh-out-of-the-apprentice's den warrior. She's young and kit-like at heart, loving to wrestle with her clanmates and share a good joke.

HISTORY -
Kithood | 0-6 Moons
Webheart and Oatwhisker met as apprentices, and from the moment that they sparred together and Webheart put Oatwhisker on his back in a minute flat, he was in love with her. They were both strong warriors, loyal and good at heart. She was his world. He was overjoyed when she came to him and announced she was with kits, and he began planning how he would be the perfect father - how he would raise them to be proud ShadowClan warriors who respected the Code and followed their leader.
When the kits were born, everything was going fine. The first born was a tiny silver she-cat who looked exactly like her mother. The next was a dark gray tabby with a thin, long tail.
Everything changed when Batkit was born. Black as night, as the she-kit came squealing into the world, Webheart began to bleed profusely. The medicine cat was called, but there wasn't much that could be done. Webheart passed away, and suddenly Oatwhisker's world came screeching to a tragic halt. He was inconsolable, and the three newborn kits were cared for by a kind, young mother named Wrenfire. Throughout their kithood, the three siblings were visited one or two times by their father, and for only a short amount of time before his grief once again distanced him from the reminder of his deceased mate.
Apprenticeship | 6-12 Moons
Batpaw, Ratpaw, and Tinypaw were very close as apprentices. Batpaw was assigned a seasoned warrior named Blizzardpelt, who was a mostly silent, very serious tom who took training as if it were a hallowed tradition (which, to be fair, it was). At first, Batpaw was constantly flaking on her training, arriving late, questioning Blizzardpelt at every turn. The two of them didn't see eye to eye, and would argue often, usually with Blizzardpelt growing frustrated and storming off. After a few lectures from Wrenfire, Batpaw decided it was probably better to simply push through the training in order to have her freedom, and she threw herself into it with a tenacity that was unmatched by most other apprentices at the time. She would spar with her siblings whenever she could, and even challenged a few fresh warriors to wrestling matches in order to make up for lost time.
During a hunting patrol near the ThunderClan border, Batpaw, Blizzardpelt, Wrenfire, and Tinypaw came across a ThunderClan patrol. It was the first time that Batpaw encountered cats not from her Clan (as her punishments usually included being held back from Gatherings), and she found herself fascinated with the way they acted and smelled. One specific tom, who looked like a muscular, more serious version of her, had a short, pleasant discussion with Blizzardpelt, before the ShadowClan patrol broke away and continued hunting. Batpaw challenged Tinypaw to a tree-climbing contest, ignoring the warning from her mentor and surrogate mother as she made her way as high up as she could.
To this day, Batwing can remember the sound of a branch snapping and the startled, frightened cry of her sister as she fell to the ground with a sickening thud. Tinypaw nearly died that day, and was confined to the medicine cat den for three full moons while her injuries healed. Batpaw blamed herself for her sister's injuries, and every time she looks at her sister, who now walks with a noticeable limp, she's reminded of why some rules are put in place.
Warriorhood | 12-Current Moons
Batwing and her brother, Ratfang, were made warriors at the same time. Ratfang, for a show of bravery in a battle with a badger, and Batwing simply for completing her assessment without dying. Four moons later, their sister, Tinysong, joined them. They had a fairly normal life up until around three moons ago - Batwing was given her first apprentice, a quiet tom named Newtpaw, and her brother, Ratfang, disappeared without a trace.
She spent the first moon and a half splitting her time (and not well) between trying to train Newtpaw, and searching for her brother. When she finally realized how much she was neglecting her duties, she finally gave up the hunt, and focused entirely on her apprentice. To this day, Batwing tries to spend her free time looking for her brother, or keeping her bond with Tinysong as close as she possibly can. She worries that something horrible happened to him, though she tries to keep these concerns to herself. But the whispers - that Ratfang found a mate in a different Clan, or that he went rogue - only cause her anger and pain to stir further.

[PTab=Tab3]DO YOU BELIEVE IN STARCLAN? WHY OR WHY NOT?
"Yes," The midnight black she-cat replies, "Wrenfire always told us stories, so I guess I was just raised to believe in them. But I also hope someone is watching over Ratfang, wherever he is."
FAVORITE HISTORICAL CAT? WHY?
"I'd have to say Swampstar. I respect her, I suppose, for persevering through the rumors that have been spreading about her. I kind of relate, considering cats have begun to spread lies about my brother and why he disappeared."
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
She pauses, as if considering whether to tell the truth or a joke. "Losing Tinysong." She finally answers, hesitant. "I don't know if I could bear it."
IF YOUR BEST FRIEND/MOTHER/WHOEVER KNOWS YOU WELL COULD DESCRIBE YOU IN THREE INDIVIDUAL WORDS, WHAT WOULD THOSE BE? DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE?
Tilting her head, a mischevious smile spreads across her muzzle. "Crazy, loud, and irresponsible. Wrenfire always likes to say I play too much. I'd have to agree, but what's so wrong with having a little fun? I don't want to go gray early."
