NEW PLAYER GUIDE
Welcome to Overgrown Coppice, a realistic member-driven site based on the world of the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter! Not quite sure where to begin? Here's just the place for you.
First things first, you'll want to see what our PLOT/PREMISE is, see if that catches your interest, and then scamper over to see our RULES. The goal of this site is, of course, to have fun, so our rules are really just interested in making sure everyone has fun, and that this site has some neat twists to make it special.
Before you think about the character you might want, though, be sure to check out the BANNED & ENCOURAGED as well as the WANTED ADS & PLOTS and the CLAN PLOTS because those can certainly give you some inspiration. Another little feature that Overgrown Coppice has is the NPC LIST which also is a place to see where people have put wanted characters. Some of the NPCs can be used as family for your character if you want. For apprentices seeking mentors, or vice versa, see MENTORS & APPRENTICES. And maybe you've met somebody in the cbox -- to see who their characters are, check out the WHO'S WHO thread.
Like what you see? Well, you can pop on over to the APPLICATION and see about filling one out, and see the TIMELINE to make sure your character's history fits in with the events of the site. Be sure and check out the FACE CLAIM if you have a specific photoset or image in mind for your kitty, as well as the NAME CLAIM to make sure the name you want is available (it probably is, don't worry). If you need help finding an image for your character, or inspiration for one based on the face, check out this COMPILATION of some photo sets we've collected. Don't forget to make sure your image is available for creative and non-commercial use (by checking the corner and looking at the "rights reserved" logos).
