[PTab=Tab2]APPEARANCE - Smudge.
PERSONALITY - Emberfrost might seem charming and outgoing at first, for he does like to surround himself with cats, but don't be fooled. His main interest is looking out for number one: Emberfrost. He might seem trustworthy at first, but there is nothing of substance deep down that could prove helpful for most anyone besides himself. If he is lending a helping paw, it usually is to further his own goals, for whatever reason. He likes to win and will do anything to achieve that: if it means apologizing, fine. Running away? No problem. Murder? Why not. A fake out? Of course. He also likes to be unpredictable, try to keep an air of mystery, keep everyone guessing. Can't give everything away too quickly.
Besides this ruthless factor, the world has the misfortune of his innate talent: he's quite clever. Although he's young and not particularly large -- not the most talented fighter or hunter in the least -- and not particularly fast, he's got wits and savagery. Which means, of course, that he can actually achieve his goals if he sets his mind to it.Sorry, not sorry, world. And he will keep making sure that he's alive to fulfill those goals, thanks to his willingness to flee. It is this flexibility, the abilities to change plans on a whim, to run when he had thought he might be fighting, and to restructure all of his subsequent actions around this, that truly attests to his cleverness. Of course, it is one thing to be clever and quite another to be wise.
While he might seem like a selfish trashbag, Emberfrost does have emotions. They just mostly have to do with him. He does have some feelings regarding his sister, Sleetclaw, but mostly in a sort of frenemy/eternal rival type of way. He wouldn't want to kill her if it came down to it -- but, of course, he probably would, in the end. Although, what would he know of killing? Emberfrost has all of this willingness to act, but none of the opportunity has come his way so far. That's why he's decided to force opportunity for himself, to be bolder -- not so that he can find himself in a position to kill someone, but so that he can be in the position to make big choices and to have big effects. And by StarClan does he want to do big things. He's not exactly sure what yet, but he knows that he wants to do something.
Emberfrost, too, has a certain cockiness about him. Since he knows he's cleverer than many cats, he has a certainty about himself, a confidence. Perhaps this is attractive to some, perhaps repulsive, perhaps it just seems like young ThunderClan warrior. But he is not brash or reckless -- perhaps he likes to seem that way sometimes, just to throw off onlookers who thought they had him figured out. In the end, through all of his smokescreens, he's a selfish cat who was lucky enough to be born with brains; and, in the end, he seeks a suitable challenge, be it a position, a game, or a cat.
FAMILY -
Flowershade -- mother, deceased. Died giving birth. A well respected cat. A black she-cat with green eyes.
Icewind -- supposedly Emberfrost's and Sleetclaw's sire. Died from infections in a wound received during a skirmish with ShadowClan when Emberfrost was a kit. A massive white tom, very aggressive and very proud.
Sleetclaw -- littermate & sister.
Sunpaw -- nephew
HISTORY - Perhaps more interesting than Emberfrost's own history is that of his family, so let's begin with that.
Flowershade was a respected warrior, and she had focused a great deal on that, not so much on interacting with her Clanmates, preferring to do her tasks on her own, even on patrols running ahead and back. Icewind, a mighty and proud thought volatile warrior, found her fascinating, and more than that, convinced himself he was in love with her, she who seemed perfect. It was he who stifled all rumors of her affair with the ShadowClan tom. It was, too, the ShadowClan tom who killed Icewind in the skirmish shortly after Emberfrost was born.
Though Flowershade might have been powerful, no amount of warrior prowess could save her from her first litter. Though her two kits were healthy, she was very weak and died a few days after, living only long enough to name her kits. Icewind was not the best father, though he was always proud of them. His pride got the better of him, though, when he ran into a ShadowClan patrol that had the very same tom who supposedly had an affair with Flowershade. None of the other cats on the patrols spoke of what words were exchanged between them, but a fight broke out, and Icewind ended up very badly injured. He refused as much treatment as he could, insisting he was fine; his wounds became infected and he died.
Emberfrost was at this time still Emberkit, with his sister, Sleetkit. The two of them have always had an interesting relationship. They were always comrades in their sneaky, bold endeavors and adventures, but when one was caught, there was little honor among thieves. The two would turn each other in in a heartbeat. Unfortunately for their early development, Icewind would reward the tattle-tale, fostering a cutthroat mentality between the siblings. Emberkit would often come up with the plans, and then Sleetkit would help him execute them, and they each caught about the same as the other. Sleetkit used these skills to better herself as a warrior and, Emberfrost supposes, he did, too. Of course, they were having fun, running around, getting into trouble. When their father died, it seemed as if all they had was each other. And the other queens and kits. And the rest of the Clan. So, at least Emberkit didn't feel too lost. After all, he never even knew his mother, and his father was too busy doing his own thing.
Stormstar elected to give Emberkit as an apprentice to one of the fiercest -- in all senses of the word -- warriors in the Clan: Addertuft. The she-cat had been a terrible mother, Emberpaw knew from stories, though he was born much later.
Addertuft seemed as excited to have an apprentice as she had been to have kits. She was harsh and strict and intermittently pushed Emberpaw and forgot about him. Emberpaw structured himself and used his mind to his advantage, doing everything he could to work smarter, not harder. Of course, training is always hard at some points, but he got through it. Addertuft's terrible treatment of him as his mentor gave him resolve and the ability to look out for himself, as much as a Clan cat can within the structure of Clan life.
During this time, Sleetpaw and Emberpaw kept their competitive relationship, competing with and against each other. Emberpaw didn't really view her as a friend, but he didn't view really anyone as a "friend". Perhaps it was because of the fact that almost all of his close, influential relationships resulted in death or neglect. Perhaps it was was something completely different. Who can say?
At any rate, Emberpaw wasn't made a warrior through any special event. He had a standard assessment with Addertuft and the deputy, now Turtlestar, observing. He passed. Addertuft didn't seem completely disappointed, which made Emberfrost suspect he might have done something well. Stormstar gave him the name Emberfrost for the white on his fur and, naturally, for his frosty demeanor. If it had anything to do with Icewind's name, Emberfrost was uncertain, though he didn't particularly care. Had he been named Emberice, of course, that'd've been a different story.
In the year since Emberfrost became a warrior, nothing of note has happened, nothing out of the ordinary. He's starting to get bored with the ordinary, however.

[PTab=Tab3]DO YOU BELIEVE IN STARCLAN? WHY OR WHY NOT?
Our leaders do have nine lives. I've never personally been visited by StarClan, but I see no reason not to believe in them.
FAVORITE HISTORICAL CAT? WHY?
Owlstar, who learned hunting watching owls in the shadows. I suppose. It's hard to choose, isn't it?
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
What a forward question. And you expect me to trust you. Well, alright, I'll tell you, if you really want to know. I fear my mind failing me, being trapped in a situation I cannot escape.
IF YOUR BEST FRIEND/MOTHER/WHOEVER KNOWS YOU WELL COULD DESCRIBE YOU IN THREE INDIVIDUAL WORDS, WHAT WOULD THOSE BE? DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE?
Cunning, ambitious, and egocentric. Sleetclaw has said this to me herself. I don't disagree with her, I suppose.
