Roseflower is not unlike any other calico. She is small in stature and fairly dainty. That is not to say she wasn't a decent warrior, only that she preferred, well, not to work. Her chest, stomach, muzzle, neck, legs and paws where all completely white while the bulk of her head, back and tail where a mottled mixture of black and orange typical of a calico. Her yellow eyes were never particularly bright or dull but they were always watching and observing. Her erect ears always seemed to catch the sounds of prey or clanmates gossip.
PERSONALITY - Rosefeather is a mother before she is anything else. Secondly, she is a mate and a lover and thirdly she was a Clan cat and a huntress. Nowhere in her capacity to describe herself would the word warrior or fighter ever come up. While it was technically her title for a period, Rosefeather always preferred being refereed to as a hunter. Whenever fighting practice would be required, she would drag her paws and dilly dally through the day. Rosefeather adores her children more then life itself and she would happily give her life if it meant protecting them. She dotes on each and every one of them, no matter how old they are now and how much they don't come to visit her.

HISTORY - Rosekit was an only child and while she enjoyed the attention, she had always begged for siblings. But Daisyfur just wasn't interested in having more kits. She felt that she had done her she-catly duty to her Clan and produced a litter that would help move the Clan into the next generation. She was more interested in returning to the warriors den and hunting and fighting and patrolling then she was about having more little ones. And from a young age, Rosekit knew that her path in life would not be the one her mother had chosen.
When she was named Rosepaw, Horseclaw had been tasked with the fairly difficult job of teaching her. It was clear to Rosepaw that she had no use for any of these teachings because she would move back into the nursery as soon as she possibly could. She struggled through her training as a fighter but found that she actually enjoyed hunting, at least to some extent. It was nice escape and something one could do alone if that was preferred. Of course, Rosepaw didn't much like begin alone, but on occasion it was a nice change of pace.
But then the unthinkable happened - Rosepaw had gone out on night on a clear, moonless night and met with a young tom on the boarder between RiverClan and ShadowClan.
When she came home,s he waited a few days - to be completely sure - before announcing her pregnancy and moving back to the Nursery. At nine moons old and without having her full name, Rosepaw was a Queen. Littlestar was shocked and unsure of what to do in this unprecedented time but chose to keep her name as is, at least for the time being. The Clan was in shock and almost no one spoke to her for the two months of her pregnancy. Her parents were appalled and many thought that Horseclaw was the father. But Rosepaw was very amendment that he was not and that it didn't matter anyway; she was continuing the Clan line.
Rosepaw gave birth to two kittens. One was tiny and stillborn - the runt. She was heartbroken and didn't know if she would survive the emotional trauma. But she needed to, because Smallkit needed her. Rosepaw loved her tiny baby with all of her heart and she blamed the medicine cat for not being able to save her already deceased second kit. But she was assured that the reason he hadn't made it was because StarClan didn't allow for mothers too young to understand their duty. She was convinced that she had made a mistake in takign a mate too young and she promised she would wait until she found the right cat to father her kits. After that, her friends and parents started to come around again, now that she had seen the error she had made.
When she was seventeen moons and Smallpaw was given his mentor, she returned to her training with Horseclaw. It took her until she was 23 moons to get her warrior name, a total of nine moons in training. But Roseflower had finally done it. Two moons later, Cloudstep received his warrior name as well. Cloudstep and Roseflower had been fast friends when they trained together and despite him being two moons younger then her son, Roseflower found herself falling for the white tom. But she didn't want the Clan (or more importantly - StarClan) thinking she was rushing her mate choice just to return to the nursery so she kept her feelings in check. Until five moons later (and by this time, everyone in the Clan knew they were an item) she announced her first legitimate move to the Nursery.
Her first litter with Cloudstep bared three kittens and once they were given their apprentice names, she returned to the warriors den. But it was clear to all that she was miserable and a moon later, she returned as a permanent queen. Over the course of her peak seasons, she had five more litters (yes I did the math), ending with a litter of two girls that nearly killed her. At 85 moons and seven total litters her body had lost its ability to endure the harshness of birth. She was gently forced to retire to the elders den once Mornignkit and Brightkit became apprentices. She has been in the Elders den for thirty moons and retired at the age of 91; Cloudstep followed after her eight moons later, thrilled to finally be able to actually cuddle with his mate at night.
