PERSONALITY - Briarpaw is nothing more than an incorrigible flirt. Male or female, ShadowClan or not. So long as you're a feline, Briarpaw will do his very best to get you swooning. Sometimes he's successful, sometimes he isn't. Sometimes he ends up in a world of hurt for flirting with the wrong cat. But it makes things a little more interesting, wouldn’t you say?
He never really learns his lesson though. Say what you will, Briarpaw is Hella persistent. You can try to drown him in a mud puddle and the next day he'll try his luck again. Whether or not that's a good or bad thing if up to you. His persistence isn't only applied to his flirting though! It's especially useful in training. He'll work for hours to get a move juuuuust right, no matter how many times he ends up eating dust.
He can be distracted from damn near everything when presented with a pretty face. The best way to win an argument with him isn't logic or facts or passion, but by pointing out a nearby cat. He'll concede whatever point you're trying to make just to go talk to them. It's not actually winning though, not if he doesn't honestly believe you were right!
For having never met him, Briarpaw is certainly his father's son! Commitment isn't in Briarpaw's vocabulary. At the first sign of it getting serious, he's out of there faster than you can say 'mouse'! As he grows older he'll mature, but for now 'forever' is terrifying.
With all of his faults and flaws, the one thing Briarpaw is incredibly open-minded. He doesn't make hasty judgments based on hearsay or gossip, choosing to make his own opinions through his own experiences. When he meets strangers, whether loners or kittypets, he treats them the way he'd treat his Clanmates, with (debatable) respect and (reasonable) friendliness.
FAMILY - Mother: Ferndapple. Living.
Father: Sparrowfoot. Currently MIA.
HISTORY - Father was Hella player, much like his son. Flirted with anyone and everyone. Accidentally knocked up his current conquest and, faced with the consequences, ran away from ShadowClan to avoid parenthood.
Ferndapple didn’t accept that and thought something terrible had happened to him. Briarkit was born a lone kit. He was spoiled. Ferndapple heaped tons of compliments on him and always treated him special. It's a miracle he didn't grow up into an arrogant asshole. Well I mean even MORE of an arrogant asshole. He just thinks he's charming.
He was made an apprentice last moon, when there was still snow on the ground. His mentor is trying to instill at least SOME humility to him, but so far it's a no go. We'll see how long they last before giving up.
