PERSONALITY - Redthorn has a tendency to be highly pessimistic and cynical, with a wit as sharp as thorns. He was actually named for it, along with his uncanny ability to be extremely blunt. He likes to poke holes in plans, and actually will attempt to give other cats a lot of reasons why this particular event will go extremely wrong. He can be rather panicky and babble at the top of his lungs when he's afraid, in which the nonsense he spews generally makes no sense. Redthorn will make a lot of excuses, so other cats actually have to literally push him to get him across water. In general, Redthorn is quite the paranoid tomcat. He has a strong sense of loyalty though, and believes that familyis ohana should stick together.

He often played with the kits from other nests, as he was the only kit born in his litter. Redthorn likes to think back and blame all of his pessimism on his parents, because they attempted to actually shelter him from the RL world.
apprentice age
Redthorn almost drowned near the end of his apprenticeship, something that he always reflects on whenever he gets too close to the river. He is very embarrassed by being terrified of the water, but he can't help his irrational fear. Despite trying hard throughout the entire apprenticeship, Redpaw barely scraped by on his assessment due to this fear. Poppystar took pity on him, instead looking at his excellent sparring skills and land hunting as an excuse to let the young tom become a warrior.

At every gathering, Redthorn had to be literally dragged through the water in order to attend and make it on time. Most of the time, Redthorn flailed and struggled like a terrified kit. He absolutely loathes bodies of water, while rain usually makes him an extremely unhappy feline, being surrounded by water on all sides usually has him trying to cling to Poppystar. Unfortunately for him, she drags him along every full moon so he can get out of camp and socialize. When it comes to gatherings, he's usually dragged along by the largest cat going.
They mean well, because they want him to get over his fear of water, but it unfortunately intensifies when he's forced. StarClan help him, because the rest of his life is going to be rough. His parents died early in his warriorhood, and he's kind of glad they're not there to coddle him like some kind of sick cat.
