PERSONALITY - She doesn't remember what made her so afraid of getting close to someone- both physically and emotionally. Windchaser is a little detached from the world, and often cringes back when cats try to get close to her. When that happens, she gets so uncomfortable that she has to physically back away and regard the cats with uncertain wariness. Windchaser believes she is unlovable, and so watches relationships at a wistful distance. She can come off as rude and unable to understand certain emotions, but she is incredibly loyal to ShadowClan despite her emotional difficulties. If she wants to get close to someone, she often silently ridicules herself and that only increases her insecurities. She means well, but it's hard for her to express this.

As a kit, Wind was technically born outside of the territory of the Clans. Her father a loner, and her a mother a ShadowClan member, this she-cat doesn't exactly remember much of the first moons she spent as a young kit. One of her first clear memories of that time is of Lightningbreeze arguing with her mate and snatching one of them out of the way of her father. This ended up being Windkit. Unknown wanted the kits to spend their lives with him, since he was their father, but Lightningbreeze was swift and furious with her choices. Being pulled into ShadowClan life at two moons old was... interesting. While she was pregnant, Lightningbreeze had gotten friendly with a ShadowClan tom, eventually pulling off that three kits had been stillborn and only one survived.
Her mother actually convinced Windkit that Rivershade was her birth father, as she looked vaguely like him as a kit. The resemblance only got stronger as she got older. Puzzled to why Windkit looked so much like her Clan lover, Lightningbreeze eventually came to the conclusion that both Unknown and Rivershade were the fathers of her offspring. Her strong insecurities and fear of emotional intimacy result from being separated from her siblings, as well as her mother not really showing her much love.

Windpaw was... difficult to train. Her strong fear of emotional intimacy started, and with it came the start of being uncomfortable with cats physically touching her. It got so bad that she would sleep out in the territory and not exactly try in being an apprentice. She actually became a warrior when she was around twenty-six moons, because it took so long to train her to be an effective warrior. Her fear of physical touch actually spurred her to become a rather vicious fighter in the end, and everycat thought it was about time that she became a warrior.

As soon as she was a warrior, Windchaser took the effort to move her nest a few hundred yards from the camp. When forced to come inside the camp and socialize, she prefers to watch from a chosen corner and avoid everycat if at all possible. Gatherings... gatherings are so, so difficult for her. Windchaser actually falls quite behind the Clan when they go, and is usually quite reluctant. However, she's wary of authority and she has a tendency to go along with whatever she was assigned. Being surrounded by so many cats is terrifying, but her hesitant conversations with Redthorn makes her believe that she's found a friend in why they want to be there, even though their fears are completely different.
She sympathizes Redthorn's deeprooted terror of water, and as such, she has found her first hesitant friend in him.
