PERSONALITY - When you first meet him, Nightpaw could be called pleasantly polite, if a little distant. He's a king of small talk, tone and gestures just enough to fake interest without seeming rude. There doesn't seem to be much fight or fire to him, almost making him seem boring.
Then place him in the general vicinity of his brother and he's a raging ball of black fur. It's the only time he ever seems to show any actual emotion, even if that emotion is anger. Ravenpaw is the only topic of conversation that can draw that fire out of him.
It's more than just anger though. There's also hurt, and sadness, and even a sense of betrayal. Shadekit was his sister too, and he misses her just as much as Ravenpaw, but he didn’t shut out the rest of his family!
Mostly he just wants to understand. Why aren't he and Darkpaw enough?
FAMILY - Father- Blackclaw
Mother- Shadowtail
Brothers- Ravenpaw, Darkpaw
Sister-Shadekit
HISTORY - Parents got together and had a litter of four. Three toms and one she-kit. They were all fairly similar looking too, all with dark pelts, but that's to be expected with parents named Blackclaw and Shadowtail. It prompted their parents to give all of them black-affiliated names. Nightkit, Darkkit, Ravenkit, and Shadekit. The three toms were born healthy and grew healthy, playing together and getting into trouble.
Shadekit, however, was born rather sickly. She was always in and out of the medicine den, and even when she was out she grew exhausted easily and slept half of the time. Nightkit tried not to worry too much. He knew there wasn't anything he could do other than pray to StarClan for her to get better, and getting himself sick wouldn't do anybody any good.
Apparently Ravenkit didn't get that memo. He withdrew from their games, becoming more and more solitary. Nightkit tried to bring him back, and used everything he could think of. He tried taunting Ravenkit into playfights like they used to, tried to bribe him into a game of hide and seek with his favorite fresh-kill. None of it worked.
Then Shadekit died, just a moon before they were all due to become apprentices. Ravenkit closed himself off entirely, and nothing Nightkit did would make him open up. It both saddened and frustrated him, and anger made him stop his attempts all together.
Then came the day they were made apprentices. Nightkit didn't miss how Ravenkit was late to his own ceremony. Resentment made him turn his back on his brother. At the completion of the ceremony, when Nightkit was named as Nightpaw, he basked in the praise of his Clan and turned to his brothers to share in their mutual triumph. Ravenpaw wasn't even there anymore, having slipped away when nobody was looking.

[PTab=Tab3]DO YOU BELIEVE IN STARCLAN? WHY OR WHY NOT? Do I believe they exist? Yes. Do I particularly like them? That's a little more difficult to answer. As a whole, not really. They took Shadekit from us, far too early in my opinion, and for that reason alone I'm not fond at all of them. But Shadekit IS a part of StarClan now, so I can't hate them entirely, because then I'd be hating her too.
FAVORITE HISTORICAL CAT? WHY? Tigerstar! He was one of the greatest leaders ThunderClan has ever known, so great that even now, seasons upon seasons after his death, his deeds are still told to kits today. He was strong and fierce and didn't take nonsense from anybody, and he fought for what he believed in and didn't let what anybody said sway his decisions. I want to be just like him one day!
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR? -sudden flash of the vigil for Shadekit- Losing the rest of my family. Even Ravenpaw. I don't like him, but I also don't want him dead. I don't... I don't think my parents can take losing another one of us so soon after Shadekit.
